Research methodology

Sources, dates and context behind our published work.

Sources

Our reports use public filings, official documentation, regulatory material, research papers and data providers. References are linked in each article. Company and vendor statements are attributed to their publishers; estimates, scenarios and our interpretation are distinguished from reported facts.

A cited announcement or dashboard is evidence of what its publisher reports, not independent verification of the underlying business.

Dates and updates

Publication dates mark the original release. Data cutoffs identify the period covered. An update date applies to the stated revision and does not make every figure current.

Historical reports retain their original context. Unless stated otherwise, the research is a dated analysis rather than a live data feed.

Definitions

Read figures alongside their units, reporting periods and source definitions. Different measures of activity, capital and earnings are not interchangeable. Announcements, signed commitments and operating results represent different stages of evidence.

Commercial context

insights4vc also works with funds and companies. Article-level partnership disclosures identify relevant commercial context. Those disclosures do not validate a partner’s claims or replace the underlying evidence.

Citations and corrections

Cite the publisher, article title, publication date and canonical URL. Include the data cutoff when citing a metric and credit the original source where relevant.

Send corrections to office@insights4.vc, with the article URL, disputed passage and supporting source.
